It’s a March Forth Moment Vermilion County.
Danville based, Sygma Network Illinois, has achieved one million safe miles driven without a preventable accident in 2012. The National Safety Council has also awarded Dan Brumfield, a Sygma Network 14-year driver veteran with the Safe Driving Award of Honor for his extraordinary driving history.
Danville has seen a number of new business relocations into downtown this summer. Most recently the Danville Symphony, Premier Title & Appraisal along with antique stores on Vermilion, Main and North Streets have joined the ranks of businesses located in the heart of downtown Danville. A new home health agency has also announced expansion plans for a downtown location.
And, two new books authored with Vermilion County connections are now being sold nationally. “Lessons on the Road to Financial Independence” by H. Michael Finkle, shares his personal story learned over 40-years in the financial business. “Cornjerker” by former resident David A. Theobald, tells the story of a group of students from the class of 1968 at Hoopeston High School. Both books are available on-line.

VA Focus Groups
The VA Illiana Health Care System will be conducting focus groups for the Veterans who receive care in Danville, IL to tell the VA how they're doing in providing care and services. Focus groups will take place Wednesday May 22nd and Thursday May 23rd at various times throughout the day. Travel pay is not authorized for. Community Blood Drive at St James
St James United Methodist Church will sponsor a blood drive with Community Blood Services of Illinois on Tuesday May 28th from 3pm to 7pm. The drive will be at 504 North Vermilion Street in Danville.

Saint James United Methodist Church is having a Blood Drive on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 from 3-7 pm at the church, 504 N Vermilion St, Danville, IL 61832. Blood Drive at Diamond Brothers Insurance
Diamond Brothers Insurance will sponsor a blood drive with Community Blood Services of Illinois on Wednesday May 29th from 10am to 5pm. The Bloodmobile will be at 120 North Vermilion in Danville.
Whitestar Home Health Agency is requesting donated items to take to Oklahoma to help with this tragedy that has affected so many lives. They are accepting clothes, non-perishables & hygiene products. 49th Annual Turtle Reunion Races
Knights of Columbus present the 49th annual Turtle Reunion Races on Saturday June 1st, 2013 from 12pm to 8pm at 310 Bryant Avenue in Danville, IL. There will be turtle races, food, and beverages, a 50/50 drawing, and fun for all. All proceeds will be donated to help those children with developmental disabilities. 49th Annual Turtle Races
Saturday, June 1st from 12-8pm at the Knoghts of Columbus Hall, 310 Bryan Ave in Danville. There will be food & beverages, a 50/50 drawing and Turtle Races. Georgetown- Ridge Farm Soccer Fundraiser

Benefit for C.A. Rush
There will be a benefit for C.A. Rush who has been diagnosed with lung cancer. Come & Join us in showing support for one who has always been there to support others.
