Investigation Ongoing In Weekend Shooting Incident

(DANVILLE, IL) — Danville authorities are continuing an investigation into a weekend shooting.  On Sunday at around 1:50 a.m., Danville Police responded to the OSF emergency room in reference to a victim of a gunshot wound.  Upon arrival officers spoke with a 32 year old Danville man who was being treated for a non-life threatening wound.  The victim stated he was involved in a physical altercation in the 1200 block of Garden Drive when someone fired several shots in his direction.  The victim was unable to provide a description of the shooter.  While officers were conducting a follow-up investigation, they learned that two more men had responded to a Champaign Hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds that they received during the same incident.  Both of the victims, a 35 year old Chicago man and a 49 year old Chicago man, declined to provide any further details of the incident and refused to speak with the police.  All of the victims were treated for non-life threatening wounds and released. The investigation into this incident continues and no other information is being released at this time.
