Danville Jaycees Community Night Fundraiser


On Wednesday, February 8th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the Danville Jaycees are teaming up with Buffalo Wild Wings in Danville to bring you a Community Night Fundraiser for their chapter. When you come out to the Community Night Fundraiser a percentage of your meal, excluding alcohol sales, will be donated to the Danville Jaycees by Buffalo Wild Wings.

Christian Rock Concert


Remedy Drive will perform on February 4th at 7 pm at the Paul C. Shebby Gymnasium at Schlarman Academy's North Campus. Advance tickets can be purchased at Schlarman Academy's North Campus and at the St. Paul's Church office. Advance ticket purchase price is $2 and ticket price at the door of the concert is $3. 

Lynch Area FPD Valentine Auction and Dance


The Lynch Area Fire Protection District will be hosting an Annual Valentine Dance and Auction on Saturday Feb. 11th starting at 5:30pm at Sarge's in Danville. Doors open at 5:30pm, auction starts at 7:30pm, and the band starts at 9:30pm. Admission is $10/person $15/couple. The Blue River Band will be playing, along with food, fun and prizes for their annual fundraiser.

VFW Sweetheart Dinner and Dance


The Veterans of Foreign Wars will be hosting a Sweetheart Dinner and Dance on Feb. 10th from 5-10 pm. Price is $5 for the dance and $8 for the dinner and dance. The Battle Creek Band will be providing entertainment. Table reservations are accepted.

American Legion Post 210 Breakfast


American Legion Post 210 will be hosting a breakfast on February 5th from 8am to 11:30am.  Menu includes  all you can eat biscuits and gravy, eggs, pancakes, sausage, coffee and juice.  A $6 donation is requested.  All proceeds go to nurse's training.

Danville Show Chorus Singing Valentines


The Danville Sweet Adelines will be offering singing Valentines grams from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm on Tuesday February 14th.  The Adelines will come to your special person's workplace, home, etc. to sing from a variety of songs.  The cost is $30 for a song and presentation of a rose and card.  Reservations can be made by calling 474-0473.

ECI Model Railroading Train Show


The ECI Railroading 6th Annual Model Train Show will be held at the Hoopeston Civic Center on IL Route 1 on Feb. 18th and 19th from 10am to 3pm. Food will be available both days and parking is free. All proceeds support children in our area.  For more information, please call 497-5668.

DACC Comm. Ed. Digital Photography Class


Digital Photography: Traditional film is almost a thing of the past. This workshop will emphasize digital photography techniques; explain digital photography terms, camera operations and settings, basic photo manipulations, and file management of digital images. The cost for this class will be $64. The class will be held at DACC Lincoln Hall Room 218. Less Woodrum will be the instructor. The class will be offered on Tuesdays, January 17-February 7 from 6:00 pm.-8:00 p.m.

Illiana Chiefs Baseball Cash Bash


The Illiana Chiefs Baseball Cash Bash will be held on February 18th from 5pm to 2am at the Danville Days Inn Hotel. Top Payout will be $2500 and only 110 tickets will be sold. DACC Comm. Ed. Food Service License Class


Food Service License: This course is designed to prepare food service employees to meet the Illinois certification requirement. Topics include: food‐borne disease, facilities, equipment, personal hygiene, & inspection techniques. The exam will be given at the last class meeting. Attendance is a must! Supplies needed: Code book & ServeSafe Book by the National Restaurant Association. The cost for the class will be $96 plus $82.94 for the book which may be purchased at the Village Mall. Carolyn Daniel will be the instructor. This class will be offered on Wednesdays, January 25-February 22, from 5:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
