2010 D102 Mother-Daughter Look-A-Like Contest
D102's Annual Mother/Daughter Look-A-Like contest was held at Center Court of the Village Mall on Friday, May 7, 2010.  Our winning Mother/Daughter was Crystal Meece and her daughter Heather Elliott.
It was presented by Dena's Hallmark, The Village Mall, & D102.  Other sponsors included Elder Beerman, County Market, Misty Hughes w/ Scentsy, and Concept College of Cosmetology.

The 81st Annual First Citizen Banquet to honor Dick Shockey is set for Monday April 21, 2014, at Turtle Run Banquet Center, 332 E Liberty Lane. "Night of Strings" benefit for the Danville Humane Society

Thursday, April 17th in the Dick Van Dyke Auditorium at Danville High School “Night of Strings” Benefit for the Danville Humane Society. Concert is free of charge. Westville Youth Football Double Elimination Basketball Tourney

The Tom Jennings 25th Annual Westville Football Double Elimination, Round Robin Basketball Tournament will be April 26 and 27, 2014, at the Westville High School old gym. Entry fee $200. Mt Vernon UMC Easter Day Activities

The Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church (Champaign) is opening their Easter day activities to the community.  All are welcome to a free, full breakfast beginning at 9:00 A.M., followed by an Easter egg hunt for children at 9:45.  The service celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ will begin at 10:30 A.M.  This country church is located at 2201 CR 900 East, Champaign.  To reach the church, drive north on Mattis road out of Champaign three miles past Olympian Drive, turn left at the church sign (CR 2200 north) and drive one mile to the church.  Call the Rev. Illiana Alzheimer's Conference.

Caring for someone afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease can present daily challenges.  That’s why the Illiana Alzheimer’s Alliance (IAA) of Presence United Samaritans Medical Center’s Foundation is hosting a day-long conference for caregivers entitled “Alzheimer’s Disease Challenges & Choices,” on Thursday, April 24, 2014. The conference will be held at the Beef House Banquet Center in Covington, IN.  Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Illinois time.  The conference is 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and includes lunch.  Cost is $30 for caregivers/CNAs/public; $80 for professionals (includes CEUs), and $30 for students with ID. 2nd Annual South View Family Council Entertainment and Shopping Extravaganza

The second annual South View Family Council Entertainment and Shopping Extravaganza will be taking place on Monday, April 21st  from 5-7:30 in the South View Cafetorium. There will be vendors, raffle items, a silent auction and a 50/50 drawing. All proceeds raised will benefit the South View Music Department as well as the general fund that helps all South View students.

Clean Up Day for Seniors 60 and over

 Seniors age 60 and over in the Georgetown, Indianola, Sidell and Allerton areas can take advantage of free help around the house and yard on Saturday, April 26. Faith in Action South and the Jamaica Flatlanders 4-H Club are pairing up to offer a Chore Day for seniors April 26 from 9 am – 3 pm.  Club members can wash windows, clean out flower beds, sweep out garages, pick up sticks or help with other spring cleaning jobs. Call Faith in Action South at 217.267.2752 by Wednesday, April 23 to sign up.  Homeowners are asked to provide their own cleaning supplies. Faith in Action South is an outreach ministry of Presence United Samaritans Medical Center’s Foundation.
